pregnant and getting married?

Here are 7 tips to keep your ceremony classy and comfortable. Happy reading!
  • Be shoe savvy: Ensure that your shoes are very comfortable so that you can enjoy your day, since oedema can make your feet and ankles swell.  A good suggestion will be a gladiator shoe or any other flat sandal. Do make sure you keep your toes extra clean and cute.

  • Your dress: baby bumps look especially graceful and  elegant in empire  waistline dress which is roomier in the belly. No matter the style or design you prefer, you will be more comfortable in loose, light fabrics such as chiffon. it will draw the focus to your beautiful face .And since you are pregnant, you have to know that people are going to want to see what you look like. They want to know if you will "waddle,  walk or work it". other materials like taffeta and satin can add up to your odds of dizziness . Also, you can follow your pregnant celebrities and take cues from their many pictures  as well.

  • Consider your fingers: When your husband slips the ring on your finger, you want it to fit easily right? So when purchasing,  ensure that the ring is a little loose and then you can resize it after the delivery when your fingers shrink back.

  • Your makeup:  During pregnancy, raging hormones can cause serious havoc to your skin(acne) and your complexion (hyper-pigmentation),  Generally speaking, when you look into the mirror you see chipmunk cheeks, puffy eyes and ever-broadening nose, hmmm... However , your looking beautiful like a diva on your wedding day must  be non-negotiable! a skilled makeup artist should be able to handle  your makeup look. One of the biggest mistakes pregnant women can make is opting out of makeup altogether, gone are the days when pregnant women were easily excused for looking clumsy and disorientated ooooo! times have changed! So if  you hire a pro, consider it as money well- spent. *winks*

  • Stress less: wedding planning can be really nerve- racking but  truth is that, stress and pregnancy aren't a good combo so consider hiring a wedding planner or delegating certain things to a willing friend or  family member(s). You will be thankful you did and remember to keep your cool when planning your wedding during pregnancy.

  • Prevent hair mess: Avoid chemical processes, heavy hair, wigs and long weaves because anything constricting or heavy or hot will be one more thing for you to fight through.

  • Remember to celebrate smartly:  keep a sweet smile on your face throughout your ceremony . Also keep your water glass full because you need to stay hydrated for you and your baby and let me add that another reason you will want a light and loose wedding dress is that your urinary frequency will be more than the average bride and you will agree with me that going to the convenience with a ball gown is tough even without a baby bump let alone with a baby bump or don't you agree? In addition, Don't forget to eat  so that you will have energy for your first dance as a married lady.

Here's to a wonderful wedding and a new and beautiful bundle of joy *winks*

                                                                                          xoxo,
